Who Can Wear Military Clothing?

This question sometimes lingers to an individual who is interested in fashioning themselves the military way. But can we really wear military clothing? As it is known that military clothing is mostly worn by soldiers to state which country they are in, while offering functional benefits. These days, however, certain types of military clothing can also be worn by civilians.

As the fashion industry has been involved in creating different clothing styles, military clothing was not exempted to their attempt of making everyone use this clothing style. However, most military clothing manufacturers prioritize function than fashion since they need clothing materials that will show excellent performance and durability. The fashion industry on the other hand, are creating styles base on military clothing that has a bit of a flare on it so that consumers will feel more attracted on purchasing them.

Military engineers and clothing specialists for the military always take into consideration the different stressful situation a soldier may be in and what particular danger one might go into. For instance, fire resistant military clothing is created to service our Army men in Afghanistan, or a tri-color desert camo was made to better serve those who are stationed in the dessert. These variations in style show the different situation army personnel may go into and it is up to their clothing specialists to create clothing that is efficient and beneficial for them.

Civilians on the other hand have totally different perspective when it comes to clothing and their style of military clothing. For example, an ordinary civilian will not dare to wear a military uniform that is most commonly seen being worn by the Army when they attend special functions that identifies them as part of the military. Or ordinary civilians will avoid wearing a complete gear of head to toe accessories of camouflage clothing when they go outside that is if they dare to scare or intimidate people.

Although we live in a democratic country, others will simply not cross the line by wearing something that is not truthfully theirs to begin with. Although there are really available military clothing made for ordinary citizens, but they mostly differ in designs with the real military clothing and most of them are made for camouflage clothing.

If a person, however, choose to wear authentic military clothing, they will not mostly go all the way. They may probably choose to wear camouflage pants and shirt, but will not have an indication that they do belong in the military.

Outdoor enthusiasts are also one of those people who love to wear military clothing. This is because of the garments use in making this clothing is highly beneficial to their sport. They may wear ghillie suit or camouflage clothing all the way, but most will still find them not imitating the military and just wearing their outdoor clothing for the benefit of their sport.

With this in mind, citizens should also be cautious on how they wear military clothing especially if it is authentic. Keep in mind that even if it is clothing, the respect given to those who truly wear them should also be given since they sacrifice a lot just to have the freedom we enjoy now.
